COP Assembler (Afternoon Shift)

We’re looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.

This is a Full-Time, Afternoon Shift position.

 

About the COP Assembler:

Perform assembly of elevator car operating panel by referencing related CAD schematics and drawings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Correctly identify components and accurately interpret assembly drawings.
  2. Assemble products within specified period of time.
  3. Utilize manual hand and power tools efficiently.
  4. Effectively inspect assemblies visually and with designated measuring devices
  5. Identify non-conformances.
  6. Complete shop records accurately.
  7. Demonstrate low absenteeism and punctuality.
  8. Communicates well with colleagues and team leader.
  9. Handle medium-to-heavy materials intermittently.
  10. Detail-oriented and accurate in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  12. Able to lift up to 50lbs; may work in hot areas 15%, noise 5%.
  13. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.

 

Attributes, Skills and Knowledge:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in assembly work
  • At least 1 year of Manufacturing experience (custom production or electrical)
  • Read schematics and drawings
  • Demonstrated dexterity and ability to perform complex assemblies
  • Medium to highly detail-oriented
  • Experience with electrical fixtures component manufacturing preferred
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs (assisted if needed)

This position works out of our Mississauga, Ontario location. Hours are typically Monday to Thursdays 4:00pm to 1:00am, Fridays 3:00pm – 11:00pm.
